Eating healthily can often have a tasteless stigma attached to it. We think lettuce and green juices which are enough to turn many of us away from this idea of living a healthy lifestyle. Well, I am here to remind you that eating healthy includes foods like nuts, which @buttanuttspreads so kindly turn into delicious butters for our convenience! Not to mention that the ingredient list is simply ‘Roasted Macadamia Nuts’, for example, so again, no guilt is needed here!

I believe that when eating healthily, keeping it simple is always best, especially in the beginning stages or if living a busy life on the go. I have included a few simple recipes using the ButtaNutt range that include two breakfast ideas and a sweet treat or two that will blow your mind.

Let’s start off with the breakfasts!

  1. ButtaNutt Spreads Cacao Smoothie Bowl

This breakfast could not be any easier to make and the result is truly incredible, definitely a daily go-to breakfast for me! This recipe serves 1-2 people.

  • 2 frozen bananas
  • 1-2 Tbsp cacao powder (or unsweetened cocoa powder)
  • 1 heaped Tbsp of @buttanuttspreads Roasted Macadamia Nut Butter
  • ½ cup of plant mylk of choice!

It is as simple as combining these 4  ingredients in a blender until smooth and pouring it over into a beautiful bowl (for aesthetic purposes of course).

Now you can really have fun with it by choosing your toppings. A must is a generous drizzle of the same Roasted Macadamia Nut Butter (about a Tbsp worth) and a sprinkling of mixed seeds and coconut chips really amp it up too.

  1. Overnight Oats

As simple as the above recipe is, I think this one may be even simpler and possibly quicker to put together. This is a new favourite for my boyfriend and I as we absolute love oatmeal but have been wanting cold breakfasts in this hot weather! Here is how simple this one is…

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 2 cups plant mylk (I use Soy)
  • 2 Tbsp @buttanuttspreads Roasted Macadamia Nut Butter
  • 1 mashed banana

That is it! This recipe makes enough for 2 people and takes only a few minutes to throw together.

Add 1 cup of oats to each jar or container of your choice. Using one that can seal is best. Then add in 1 cup of plant mylk to each along with half a mashed banana to each. Finally, the hero of the overnight oats is adding 1 Tbsp of Roasted Macadamia Nut Butter to each jar. Now stir them both up well, tighten the lids and stick into the fridge for the next morning!

I like serving mine with a topping of another half banana each and a generous drizzle of nut butter to finish. I actually cannot begin to explain how happy I was with this 4 ingredient recipe. Going on our third day in a row of eating this baby for breakfast!

Now how about a sweet treat or two?

3. Salted Caramel Bliss Balls

Moving on to another super delicious and easy to make @buttanuttspreads recipe! This a 6 ingredient recipe that you will seriously love as a snack throughout the day or as a treat after dinner.

  • ¼ cup raw almonds
  • ¼ cup almond meal
  • ¼ tsp pink Himalayan salt
  • ½ cup pitted dates (soak in boiling water for 15 minutes)
  • 2 Tbsp @butttanuttspreads Almond Butter
  • Desiccated coconut for coating

Add half of the almonds to a food processor and blend until reaching a rough consistency. Remove the nuts from the blender and set aside before adding the remaining nuts to the same processor and blending until reaching a flour consistency. You can now combine all of the remaining ingredients into the food processor or blender and mix together until the mixture is well combined, sticky and rollable. Scoop out small ball sizes and roll into the desired shapes before coating them with the desiccated coconut. Refrigerate and eat as desired!

Guilt-free deliciousness!

4. Raw Vegan Blondie

This recipe I am so excited to share with you all. It took me a few attempts to come up with this slice of perfection and I cannot wait to hear if you all love it as much as we do!

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • ¼ cup coconut oil
  • ½ cup desiccated coconut
  • ½ cup salted peanuts (or simply add in ½ tsp of salt to the nuts)

  • 1 can chickpeas
  • 1 cup dates (soak in boiling water for 15 minutes)
  • ½ cup @buttanuttspreads Roasted Macadamia Nut Butter
  • 2 Tbsp oat flour (ground oats)

Combine the base ingredients in a blender, but be sure to keep half of the rolled oats aside to add in after the mixture is blended together. Transfer the mixture into a mixing bowl and stir in the remaining rolled oats until all is well combined. Place the mixture into a square container or mould of your choice (I use a plastic Tupperware to make popping the frozen Blondie out a lot easier). Pat it down hard to ensure it is all tightly compacted as the base layer of our Blondie.

For the centre layer, drain and rinse the chickpeas and add to the blender along with the soaked dates and nut butter. This may seem like an interesting combination, but trust me when I say it is totally yummy. This will create a mushy mixture which you can now layer on top of the base layer.

Place the container in the freezer for two hours before removing the Blondies (simply pop it out) and slice into 6 big Blondies or 12 smaller ones! Allow the Blondies to soften by leaving them in the fridge for 30 minutes or so before serving.

Don’t forget to top with more Macadamia Nut Butter before devouring.

So there we have it, four super simple and insanely tasty recipes with @buttanuttspreads as the hero of each. I am in love with these products as I believe in eating REAL food with minimal ingredients and ButtaNutt provides that along with major yumminess.

I would love to hear from you, let me know if you give any one of these recipes a try. Tag me on instagram at @amber_gisele and don’t forget to follow @buttanuttspreads on Instagram for more recipe ideas!
